A Review of J Alchem's "The Highway Man"

J. Alchem is indeed an Alchemist who weaves magic with words and this book, a collection of three short stories "The Highway Man" has left me flabbergasted. Coming from a writer herself, I have been touched by the lucidity of language, the brilliant twists he kinda into every plot and the chilling ends in the first and final story. The first one "Catherine" talks about a schizophrenic author who falls in love with his own fictional heroine and the bizzare turn of events. The second is a romantic short story, one that repeatedly made me smile and the final one "The Highway Man" is indeed a heart touching tale of love, loss and self-realization, a journey to find happiness and the unexpected end, where we discover the true identity of the highway man is where I am compelled to let my emotions flow.
A short but promising read that will keep any bibliophile glued to its pages. Kudos to the author!
